Can't wait to return!
Thought I would post my review with G&T in hand on the balcony watching the world go by. Sparkling aqua water in the background.
Retro Sands has been exactly the place to come and relax. It’s exceptionally clean and has everything you could possibly need.
I travelled with my small dog and we’ve both loved having the off leash beach 5 mins walk away plus the yard is the perfect size for some ball play. I found the lounge cover and was not an issue making sure his ‘spot’ in the sun was well protected.
Mum visited for a couple of nights and the space is excellent for privacy and having our own space. Her area downstairs was equipped with own little kitchen for that early cuppa. Comfortably sleep 4 in each area too.Tried to shop local and Vincentia Butcher has the best meat and is also a deli with some veg on offer too. Bunya Wholefoods was a little treat for some nice tea. Had a day trip to Cupitt Winery too. They also love dogs which is always a bonus (and why I chose everything I do:)
Highly recommend Retro Sands. Sandra and Ken were superb hosts. Can’t wait to return!

A kitsch retro paradise like no other
Ahhhhh I have so much to say about this amazing home - but Id like to start with, even 2 weeks since being home, I still feel like I am mellowing in a time somewhere between 1950 & 1973 haha
This house has it all! We stayed for 2 nights with our daughter, shes 3, Frankie loved the home! It had a super cute red trike for her to play on and she loved the real ticking clock by her bed.
All the beds were super comfy, the house was fully livable and friendly, walk across the street and you are on the worlds most crustiest bike path, we hired bikes, best way to get around.
Sandra was a beautiful host, we just loved everything about our stay here! What a gem! What a gem indeed. xxxx 5 stars

The Perfect Getaway
We were super impressed with this magical beach house. The owners have gone out of their way to give this place a retro feel and done an amazing job. We came here just the two of us plus our German Shepherd for two weeks. Nelson’s Beach nearby is dog friendly after 3pm and he loved his daily visits playing frisbee and swimming. We had HelloFresh deliver whilst we were here, and the kitchen is fully stocked with every sort of bowl, pot, gadget you’d need. The oven, stovetop and microwave all worked well. There’s a dishwasher, a main fridge and a second smaller fridge. The place is super clean too. I like the fact it has two bathrooms too. In fact, we loved it so much here, we’ve already locked in a return stay. 5 stars.

A real find
e loved our stay at Retrosands and Sandra could not have been lovelier or more helpful. This house is a fabulous time capsule of genuine 70s treasures and is right over the road from gorgeous beaches and the coastal bike track. We arrived to a huge basket of delicious treats and a spotlessly clean house, went to sleep to the sound of waves and woke up to black cockatoos flying over. A real find. Thank you Sandra and Ken!

A Jewel in Paradise
Our stay at Retro Sands Beach House in Vincentia was everything I thought it would be. Back in the area I spent so much of my youth at, this house took me back to those times. Hosts Sandra and Ken, have a house which takes you back in time but also has everything the modern family needs. It was clean and tidy. From the welcome basket of goodies to every item to make you feel comfortable, this house was our perfect summer getaway. The extras we found that were for us to use were much appreciated, like the table tennis, books, videos, games, trike, boogie boards etc. Being across the road from a quiet family beach was also a bonus for the youngest family member. And being able to listen to the ocean every night as I fell asleep was bliss. I cannot fault anything about Retro Sands Beach House. For us it was perfect and I recommend it to anyone. 5 Stars.

Brilliant! Go!!
We had an absolutely brilliant weekend at the Retro Sands. The location is great, the house is lovingly and thoughtfully decorated and in excellent condition. Plenty of thought has gone into stocking the place with games, gear for the beach, comfy chairs. We'd have no hesitation in recommending it as a great getaway.
Sandra and Ken were great hosts, they left some treats out for us and the kids. In fact a birthday cake 'magically' appeared once Sandra found out it was my wife's birthday. Very very kind.

Magical Mini Break
Sandra and Ken haven’t missed a beat with their well equipped 70’s retro beach house. A must was sunset drinks on the deck. We enjoyed such easy access to the beautiful crystal clear beaches on offer. Sandra was extremely helpful with plenty of local handy hints on where to eat, bush walks and other attractions. A nice touch was the welcome hamper. We will definitely be back.

This is one of the best!
A lovely house, with a great view. Across from a gorgeous beach. We have stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s and this is one of the best! Spotless, great comfy beds with quality sheets and towels, beach things, gift basket, coffee machine and much more!

You really couldn’t ask for more
Fantastic place to stay. Opposite the beach & boardwalk. Walked all the way down to Greenfields Beach & up to Vincentia shops to get the groceries. Great exercise. Downstairs replicates upstairs – so easy to stay separate from each other if required. Everywhere I looked – we don’t supply this or we don’t supply that – bring your own, etc. Not here. Everything, is supplied and superior in cleanliness. Excellent communication from Sandra. Very easy check-in & check-out. You really couldn’t ask for more.

Captures the retro vibe
We had a great stay at Retro Sands, the house is very well appointed, excellent attention to detail with decor and furnishings, it truely captures the retro vibe. The beach across the road is calm and clear and is easily accessed. The welcome basket and sparkling wine was a really nice touch! We'll definitely return, thanks Sandra and Ken.

Can't wait to return!
We spent a weekend in this amazing house. From the minute we walked in the door we were delighted by the retro touches, however the house had everything you could need. The kitchen was very well appointed and the entire house was sparkling clean. They have somehow managed to keep that retro vibe without anything looking tired or dated. Very comfortable beds - we all had great nights sleep. Having the two bathrooms was a bonus for a house full of girls. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest the balcony is a great place to sit and listen to the waves and watch the world go by. The outdoor entertainment area is a great addition with plenty of seating.

A perfect stay for our family
This place is very special, and has been a perfect stay for our family. The style is amazing, the location can’t be beat (close to everything but nice and quiet), and the hosts are super communicative and welcoming. We are very privileged to have had the chance to stay here.

The 'retro' house is amazing
This is the second summer in a row I and my friends stayed. The 'retro' house is amazing, Sandra is so helpful and the location is superb. That's really all there is to it and I'll stay again for sure.

Memorable holiday
This place is perfect for a memorable weekend away. The house was comfortable for a family of 7 and has a great style. The hosts have put a lot of thought into the details and amenities. The location is perfect - right across the beach and in a great position to watch the sunset from the balcony. We are looking forward to coming back.

The location is divine
We had a wonderful weekend at the Retro Beach House. The owners were very responsive, amenable and friendly. The house is beautifully set up with everything you need and the location is divine with only a short walk to the beach across the road. I would happily recommend the place to others.
